I am stunned by these reviews and I can tell you that I have been a client there for over 30 years. I have had nothing but top notch service and nothing but amazing pieces of jewelry from here whether it was custom made for me or bought from the case. My husband and I have always been treated like gold as well...and let me tell you, when we first started out, things were slim so the kind treatment wasnt because we spent a lot of money at the time either. I honestly cant say enough wonderful things about David and anyone else I have worked with there. Even our daughter had decided on her own that when it is time for her to get married, she only wants her rings to come from ADE. Let me tell you this...you can shop at other places and trust me, you are not going to get the quality that you get there. I just cant say enough wonderful things about them and my experiences through the years have been nothing but positive...and Im not an easy person to please. Barbara & Barry

Dave, Kathy and Allie of American Diamond Exchange are professional, direct and great to work with. Allie Perry is the maker of the diamond ring that adorns my wife’s finger and is the maker of my wedding ring. I had precise scattered ideas on what I wanted in both rings. Allie did a fantastic job of interpretation. Allie asked perfect questions in order to mold out two one of a kind Allie Perry rings. I am incredibly satisfied with my experience with ADEX and hope in the future to bring further ideas to be made into reality. Thanks for making the process fun!

My fiancé and I recently had a wonderful experience working with ADEX to create a custom engagement ring that we couldn't be happier with. We were initially nervous about the process, but the staff listened to our needs and budget when choosing the diamonds, and the design process with Allie was more than we were ever expecting. She spent extensive time with us to listen and design, even when the store was very busy. To top it off, she had the ring ready earlier than expected. The process went from what we thought was going to be a stressful experience, to what it should be...fun!

After inheriting some estate jewelry, we found the pieces where very nice and interesting, not to mention of family value, but so worn and broken that I couldn’t even wear them if I wanted to. I knew of the American Diamond Exchange (ADE) on Whalley Avenue and have visited for ring cleanings so decided to see what they could do for repairs. I brought one ring in that was scratched, too small and dirty for assessing. Allie, the goldsmith, has a fully stocked repair shop for just about any job including plating, enlarging, repairs, buffing, etc. She examined the ring and provided details of what she would need to do to get it back to usable condition. At first I thought she would polish up scratches and all, enlarge for my ring size and return to me looking a little better. Allie said it would take about 6 weeks which was fine as I was not in any hurry. I was amazed when I got it back how new the ring looked. Scratches gone, polished to mirror finish diamond shiny and no sign of repairs whatsoever – looked brand new. I couldn’t believe how it looked. This is the best way to bring an heirloom or any piece you might have to brand new condition. Allie will work with you on all details and budgets. I’ll see you again soon Allie and thank you RH

I can’t say enough wonderful things about American Diamond Exchange. As a young lady, some jewelry stores don’t give me the time of day, like I’m not worth their time. American Diamond Exchange is the opposite, they will be happy to help you no matter what. Kathleen and David are kind, personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. The jewelry is beyond beautiful, and I trust them with any piece of jewelry. They are easy to work with, and I really enjoy the conversations I’ve had with them. They don’t just care about the sales, but also about the people that walk through the door. The goldsmith, Allie, is extremely reasonable and talented. The showroom is beautiful, the people are respectful and helpful, and the experience is like no other jewelry store I’ve ever been to. When I go to a store, any store, really, I want people that are considerate, kind, willing to help, communicative, honest, understanding, and listen to your thoughts... everyone that works at American Diamond Exchange fits those descriptions. If you are looking for any piece of jewelry, custom or not, I can not stress enough that American Diamond Exchange is extraordinary in every aspect.

The best place to buy jewelry in CT. It’s been almost a year since I’ve made a purchase there and the gold piece of jewelry I bought is still looking like the day I bought it. When I walked in for the first time it was welcoming. The lighting was perfect and it shined off of all the amazing jewelry they had and it wasn’t a bright lighting, it was a fine lighting that was perfect for the environment. I was then greeted by Kathleen who was able to help me with my purchase. I told her what I was looking for and what I wanted. She was able to have a custom piece made for me. Once I agreed that it was indeed what I wanted, I put down a deposit and she said she would call in about 2-3 weeks when it was ready to be picked up. Exactly 3 weeks later I received a call. When I arrived I was welcomed again by Kathleen and the owner, David. They presented me with the box and opened it and it was exactly what I wanted and expected. Everything turned out perfectly. David included a free polishing cloth and polish with my purchase which was very kind because I’m sure that goes for an extra charge. Once I finally had paid I walked out the door very happy and very satisfied with my purchase. They were able to help me and welcomed me the best out of the 3 other places I had been. I am very happy and will come back next time I need a piece of jewelry. It is an amazing place!

Cannot say enough about the quality of their jewelry and customer service. I have purchased two diamond rings, earrings and sapphire ting over the last 18 years and couldn’t be happier. What I like most is thst ADEX isn’t a franchise type store like Kay’s where you can find cookie cutter pieces. If you’re looking for quantity, perhaps ADEX isn’t for you. If you’re looking for quality, you’ve come to the right store. My jewelry is unique. David and staff helped me design my wedding band to fit with my diamond and the outcome was brilliant in style and sparkle.

I went to American Diamond Exchange to purchase my wedding band and my husbands wedding band and we could not have had a better experience! I also got a necklace modified that Dave designed so beautifully, I get complements on it daily! David and Kathy were so friendly, warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. They were extremely patient and so fun to talk to. I cannot recommend them enough for all of your jewelry needs!! They’re the best!

This was the best experience! From Kathleen’s greeting all the way to Alleys finished piece. My fiancé and I had a ring we wanted to remove smaller center stones of a beautiful princess halo and had no idea if that was even possible. Alley took the time to sit with Zack and I to go over all the possibilities by measuring and telling us exactly what size diamond to get, what the crowns and heights might be and what to consider (at no cost might I add). Once we found the perfect diamond, Alley verified our online purchase and took down all my detailed requests. She went so far as to draw out sketches, take magnified pictures and just really took the time to explain all of this so thoroughly which was so extremely helpful. If you aren’t impressed yet, get ready. I had a time frame of 2 weeks, not knowing if that would be a possibility either. We paid a very reasonable price to have it rushed. Alley ORDERED our crown on Wednesday and the ring was totally COMPLETE Friday morning, ready to be picked up. Less than two days for the entire process. It is more perfect than I even imagined. If we or anyone ever needs work done, Alley is the one to go to. We will be back! I couldn’t thank you enough Alley!

I wanted to share an experience I recently had at ADEX. I had stopped by with a picture of a ring that I wanted to recreate while on a budget. I sat with Allie who is the goldsmith and I showed her the picture of the ring. Within a few days she got back to me with a sketch and it was spot on. As you will see, this ring is very detailed.This is not a project that I would of trusted with any other jeweler besides David and his team.I can go on and on about how wonderful this ring came out however I am going to add pictures of the inspiration ring and my ring so that you can judge for yourself. In closing, I have to say that I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such intuitive, creative and kind people. This experience has been nothing but a pleasure!
